A Practice for Relating from the Power of Your Presence
Most of us were never shown how to hold both strength and softness at the same time.
Instead, we learned one of two patterns when we felt unsafe:
Power Over: “I try to force the world around me to change so I can feel better inside.”
Power Under: “I pull away from the world around me to protect my inner sense of safety.”
But there’s a third way. One that brings clarity without control, and connection without collapse:
Power With: “I am deeply connected to the truly authentic power within myself and I engage purposefully with the world around me from my centre.”
This isn’t a concept, it’s a practical skill. A nervous system capacity. A choice to relate from presence, not protection.
The attached practice is a simple 5-minute regulation map to help you return to your centre, soften your heart, and take calm, powerful action, especially in moments that challenge you.
